Mild reductive rearrangement of oximes and oxime ethers to secondary amines with hydrosilanes catalyzed by B(C<sub>6</sub>F<sub>5</sub>)<sub>3</sub>

چکیده
Oximes, its ether derivatives and the corresponding hydroxylamines rearrange to secondary amines when reacted with PhSiH3 B(C6F5)3 as catalyst. Computations suggest a reduction–rearrangement be slightly favored over Beckmann-type sequence.

A general procedure for the reductive coupling of N-tosylhydrazones with amines in the presence of Cu(acac)(2) and Cs(2)CO(3) has been developed. The protocol is very effective and chemoselective with various primary and secondary aliphatic amines, aminoalcohols as well as azole derivatives to give α-branched amines in good yields.
